watamu treehouse

yoga and pilates retreat
watamu treehouse, kenya

Sun 2nd-Sat 8th Feb 2025

Leave the cold months of Winter behind and escape with me to Watamu Treehouse in Kenya. A stunning and unique retreat haven situated in Watamu, a beautiful town located on the Indian Ocean coastline of Kenya. Watamu is known for its white sandy beaches and home to the Mangrove forest. Watamu Treehouse is a truly breath-taking place surrounded by indigenous forest and only minutes away from the luxurious ocean. It’s a place to step away from the mad rush of everyday life, disconnect and reconnect with yourself in true paradise.

It will be a week of energising and blissful yoga, strengthening and toning pilates, delicious and nourishing food, adventures through the mangroves, sunrise walks, serious chill-time by the pool, lots of laughing, connecting with others and enjoying sundowners every evening watching the sunset over the ocean!

Come and join me, below is all the information you need:

What to expect

  • Daily yoga classes specially designed to work the body and still the mind

  • Additional pilates classes (optional)

  • An immersive and safe environment enabling you to deepen your practice

  • Delicious and nutritious meals

  • A relaxed, healthy, fun and stress-free holiday vibe

The yoga

Harriet will lead you through two 90 minute classes a day; there will be a morning vinyasa practice and a sunset relaxing and more restorative practice. Morning yoga classes will consist of more dynamic movement to challenge the body and quieten the mind. Each class will have a specific focus, enabling you to learn and explore your practice on a deeper level. Evening classes will have a slower pace, allowing you to delve deep into postures, relax and restore; leaving you feeling totally blissed out before our delicious dinner feast!

The pilates

Harriet is a qualified APPI Pilates instructor. She has found pilates incredibly complimentary to her own yoga practice; specifically by helping to improve core stability, posture, body awareness & alignment, pelvic floor function and so much more! This has enabled her to feel much stronger in the yoga postures themselves and created space for a deeper spiritual yoga practice. She is passionate about helping others to access these healing benefits, therefore on this retreat she will be offering some additional (optional) pilates classes. Pilates classes will work the entire body through a series of repetitive mat-based exercises, helping to improve deep core stability, posture and full-body strength.

Yoga and pilates is open to all levels.
