About me

Meet Harriet, also known as Tay - a yoga teacher in London, whose journey into the world of yoga began as a transformative response to a diagnosis of Arthritis at aged 17. Faced with the challenges of this condition, Harriet discovered the profound physical and mental healing effects of yoga and has since made it her mission to help others access these benefits. Since embarking on her teaching journey in 2017 Harriet has discovered a passion for Anatomy and teaches an Alignment-Based Vinyasa Yoga style, guiding students to move their bodies functionally in order to feel at their best on and off the mat.

Harriet’s classes offer a safe space, where students regardless of their level are encouraged to explore their bodies with both challenge and compassion. Her classes focus on mindful breathing, balancing building flexibility with strength, with a specific eye on maintaining correct postural alignment. Harriet wants to encourage individuals to harness the strength they've cultivated and experienced on their yoga mat, enabling them to carry that sense of empowerment and resilience into their daily lives. Harriet remains forever grateful to those who have and continue to influence her teaching, including Becky Farbstein, Erin Prichard, Mona Godfrey, Christian Coelho, Celest Pereira and Austin Ince.

Harriet is also a qualified APPI pilates instructor. Harriet believes pilates is incredibly complimentary to ones yoga practice - helping to improve core stability, posture, body awareness & alignment, pelvic floor function and so much more! It has enabled her to feel much stronger in the yoga postures themselves and created space for a deeper spiritual yoga practice. She is passionate about teaching both yoga and pilates and helping others access the incredible healing benefits of these combined methods of movement.
